48. Ashta matha,

Verse 48
Asya tvak aadhi saptaka mookaarascaivamashtakam spashtam
Braahmyaadi maatru roopam madhyama bhoobimbametadadhyaaste

“Her seven datus, skin and the rest and her form manifest as the forms of the ashta matha or eight mothers, Brahmi and others. They dwell in the middle bhubimbaka.”

Commentary:
Bhu bimbaka- the disc or circle of the Bhupura which is the square and forms the base of the Srichakra.
The seven dhatus are rasa (plasma), rakta (blood), mamsa (muscle tissue), medas (fat tissue), asthi (bone), majja (bone marrow and nervous system), Shukra (reproductive tissue). Along with this Devi and her form exist as the eight mothers. They are Brahmi, Maheswari, Kaumari, Vishnavi, Varahi, Mahendri, Chamunda and Mahalakshmi. The Devi and her form is the eighth matrika.

அஸ்ய த்வக் ஆதி சப்தக மூகாரஸ்சைவமஷ்டகம் ஸ்பஷ்டம்
ப்ராஹ்ம்யாதி மாத்ரு ரூபம் மத்யம பூபிம்பமேததத்யாஸ்தே.

“அவளது ஏழு தாதுக்களும் தோலும் அவளது மீதமுள்ள பகுதிகளும் அஷ்ட மாதாக்கள் எனப்படும் பிராம்மிமுதலானவர்கள். அவர்கள் பூபிம்பகத்தின் மத்தியில் உறைகின்றனர்.

விளக்கவுரை:
பூ பிம்பகம் என்பது ஸ்ரீ சக்கரத்தில் உள்ள சதுரம், அதுவே ஸ்ரீசக்கரத்தின் அடித்தளமாக இருக்கிறது,

ஏழு தாதுக்கள் ரசம், ரத்தம், மாமிசம், மேதஸ் அல்லது கொழுப்பு, அஸ்தி அலது எலும்பு, மஜ்ஜை அல்லது எலும்புக்குள் இருப்பது/நரம்பு மண்டலம், சுக்ரம் அல்லது பிரஜா விருத்தி வித்து.

அஷ்ட மாதாக்கள் பிராம்மி, மகேஸ்வரி, கௌமாரி, வைஷ்ணவி, வாராஹி, மகேந்தரி, சாமுண்டா மற்றும் மகாலட்சுமி என்பவர்கள்.
