39. Kameshvari and Mithreshvara

Verse 39

Tanmithunam gunabedhaadaaste bindu trayaatmake tryasre

Kaameshee mitresha pramukhadvandvatryaatmanaa vitatam

“That couple (Kamesvara and Tripura Sundari) are in the triangle which is constituted by the three bindus.  Due to distinctions in qualities (guna bedham) she assumes the form of three other couples the first of which is Kameshi-Mitresha.

Commentary:

That couple (tan mithunam)- the Supreme Spirit divides itself into female and male and enjoys as a couple (mithuna rupena viharati). Bruhadaaranyaka Upanishad says 

“He verily did not enjoy because one cannot enjoy”.

Rahasya agama says Paramasiva who is the paired or united Prakasha and vimarsha brought down all the tantras. 

The couple who are united, Kama and Kameshvari assume the forms of the three pairs Mitresha natha- Kameshvari, Uddisha natha-vajreshvari and sashthisha natha-Bhagamalini as the three pairs of the Divya, Siddha and Maanava lines (of gurus).

தன்மிதுனம் குண பேதாதாஸ்தே பிந்துத்ரயாத்மகே

காமேஷீமித்ரேஷ பிரமுகத்வந்த்வ த்ரயாத்மனா விததம்

“அவர்கள் இருவரும் (காமேஸ்வரன் த்ரிபுர சுந்தரீ) மூன்று பிந்துக்களால் ஆன முக்கோணத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள். குண வேறுபாடுகளால் அவள் மூன்று ஜோடிகளாக உருவெடுக்கிறாள். அவற்றில் முதலாவது காமேஷீ-மித்ரேஷன்”

விளக்கவுரை:

அந்த ஜோடி (தன் மிதுனம்)- அந்த பரமாத்மா தன்னை ஆண் பெண் என்று இரண்டாக பிரித்துக்கொண்டு தன்னை அனுபவிக்கிறது (மிதுன ரூபேண விஹரதி). “ஒன்றாக இருக்கும்போது அனுபவிக்க முடியாது” என்று பிருகதாரண்யக உபநிஷத் கூறுகிறது.

ஒன்றாக இணைந்த பிரகாச விமர்சங்கள், பரமசிவன் எல்லா தந்திரங்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்தினார் என்று ரகசிய ஆகமம் கூறுகிறது.

காம காமேஷ்வரிகள் மூன்று ஜோடிகளாக, மித்ரேஷநாதர்- காமேஸ்வரி, உத்திஷ நாதர்- வஜ்ரேஸ்வரி மற்றும் சஷ்திஷநாதர்- பகமாலினி என்று முறையே திவ்யர், சித்தர் மற்றும் மானவர்களின் குருக்களாக விளங்குகின்றனர்.
