36. Aavarana Devata

Verse 36

Seyam paraa maheshi chakraakaarena parinamete yadaa

Tad deha avayavaanaam parinatiraavaranadevataa: sarvaa:

“When she, the all-excelling Great Queen, changes into the form of chakra then her limbs of her body change into aavarana devatas (deities in the precincts).

Commentary:

Devi’s body is a mass of light.  Her limbs are the rays. The aavarana devata are countless Saktis who appear and disappear like bubbles in the ocean.

“சேயம் பரா மஹேஷி சக்ராகாரேண பரிணமேதே யதா

தத் தேஹ அவயவானாம் பரிணதிர்ஆவரண தேவதா: சர்வா:

“மகாராணியான அவள் சக்ர உருவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்போது அவளது உடல் ஆவரண தேவதைகளாகிறது.”

விளக்கவுரை:

தேவியின் உடல் ஒளியாலானது.  அதிலிருந்து வெளிப்படும் கதிர்கள் அவளது அவயவங்கள்.  அந்தக் கதிர்கள் ஆவரண தேவதைகள்.  இவ்வாறு எண்ணற்ற சக்திகள் கடலிலிருந்து வெளிப்படும் நீர்க்குமிழிகளைப் போல தேவியின் உடலிலிருந்து தோன்றி மறைகின்றனர்.
