33. Lotus petals

Verse 33

Kaadibhi: ashtabhirupa chitam ashtadalaabjam ca vaikharee vargai:

Svara gana samuditam etat dvyastadala ambhoruham ca sanchintyam

“The eight groups of letters beginning with the ka group which are vaikhari sakthi are on the petals of the lotus of eight petals and it should always be born in mind (meditated upon) that the lotus of sixteen petals has on its petals the vowel letters.”

Commentary:

The sarva sankshobhana chakram and sarvaasaa paripooraka chakram are described here with the letters that are present there.

The eight groups of letters are the ka varga, cha varga etc we saw before. 

The vowels are present on the sixteen petals. 

காதிபி: அஷ்டபிரூப சிதம் அஷ்டதளாப்ஜம் ச வைகரீ வர்கை:

ஸ்வர கண சமுதிதம் ஏதத் த்வியஷ்டதள அம்போருஹம் ச சந்சிந்த்யம்

“வைகரீ சகதியான க வர்க்கம் முதலான எட்டு எழுத்து வர்க்கங்கள் எட்டு இதழ்களையுடைய தாமரை இதழ்களிலும் பதினாறு இதழ்களையுடைய தாமரை இதழ்களில் பதினாறு உயிரெழுத்துக்கள் உள்ளன என்று தியானிக்க வேண்டும்.”
