9. Manifestation

Verse 9

Sphutitaadhara unaad bindu: naada brahma ankuro ravo vyakta:

Tasmaadh gagana sameerana dahanodaka bhoomi varna sambhooti:

“From the red bindu about to create arose the sound (rava:), which is the sprout (ankura), nadha brahman.  From that sound came the elements including the earth.”

This verse describes the emerging of the universe from the primordial bindu as well the manifestation of the devata, mantra and chakra.

The red bindu is said to be swelling or pregnanat (sphutitha) as it contains within it all the principles in their potential state.  So the distinction of the principles occurred first which were contained in the primary bindhu before manifestation.

From the bindhu that contains everything within, arose the nadha.  This refers to the sound varieties.  The bindhu pregnant will all the sounds is in the para state. When it manifests it reaches the pashyanthi state which is followed by madhyama and vaikari.  As the pashyanthi state never disappears it is called anahata.  This sound is the origin of the five elements and the letters that begin with a and end with ksha.

Thus, the order of creation is vyoma, bindhu, nadha and from nadha-bindu the manifested universe.

“ஸ்புடிதாதர உன்னாத் பிந்து: நாத பிரம்மா அங்கூரோ ரவோ வ்யக்த:

தஸ்மாத் ககன சமீரண தஹநோதாக பூமி வர்ண சம்பூதி:”

“சிவப்பு நிறமான பிந்துவிலிருந்து சப்தம் (ரவ:) எழுந்துது.  அதுவே முளை, நாத பிரம்மன்.  அந்த சப்தத்திலிருந்து உலகம் முதலான தத்துவங்கள் வெளிப்பட்டன.”

பிந்துவிலிருந்து பிரபஞ்சம் எவ்வாறு தோன்றியது என்பதையும் பிந்துவிலிருந்து தேவதா, மந்த்ரம், சக்ரம் ஆகியவை தோன்றின என்பதையும் இப்பாடல் விளக்குகிறது.

சிவப்பு நிற பிந்து சூல்கொண்டது (ஸ்புடிதா) என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது ஏனெனில் அதன் உள் எல்லா தத்துவங்களும் விதை நிலையில் இருக்கின்றன.  அதுவே உலகத்துக்கு முளையாக இருக்கிறது. 

இந்த பிந்துவிலிருந்து நாதம் எழுந்தது.  பிந்துவில் இருப்பது சப்தத்தின் பரா நிலை.  அது வெளிப்படும்போது தோன்றுவது பஷ்யந்தி.  இந்த சப்தம் எப்போதும் மறையாததால் அனாஹதம் எனப்படுகிறது.  இந்த சப்தத்திலிருந்து ஐம்பூதங்களும் எல்லா எழுத்துக்களும் (அ முதல் க்ஷ வரை) தோன்றுகின்றன.

இவ்வாறு சிருஷ்டி என்பது வியோமா, பிந்து, நாதம், நாத-பிந்து, உலகம் என்ற முறையில் நடைபெறுகிறது.
