Verse 15, 16, 17

Sabdha sparshau roopam rasa gandhau ceti bhoota sookshmaani

Vyaapakamaadyam vyaapyam toottaramevam kramena panchadasa

Panchadasaakshara roopa nityaa caishaa hi bhautika abhimathaa

Nitya: sabdhaadi guna prabheda binnaasta sthaanayaa vyaaptaa:

Nityaastithya aakaaraastithayascha sivasakti samarasaakaaraa:

Divasamishaamayaasthaa: sreevarnaastepi taddvayee roopa:

“Sound, touch, form, taste, smell are the subtle bhoota.  Of these, each is a producer (vyapaka) of that which follows (vyapya) and thus taking them all in their order there are fifteen properties (guna). 

The nitya who are present in the 15 forms are the deities of the elements (bhauthikam).  They are present as distinguished qualities of sabdha and so on.  They are the union of Siva and Sakti (samarasa).

The Nitya (Tripura) who is (the mantra) of fifteen letters is known as “She who appears in the bhuta).  She is surrounded by fifteen nityas who are distinguished by different properties of sound and so forth. They are the fifteen letters of the Srimantra.

Commentary:

The fifteen nityas represent the fifteen lunar days (Tithyaakaara). The lunar days are again, the union (samarasa) of Siva and Sakti.  They consist of days and nights.  They are the 15 letters in the panchadasi mantra and have the double nature of prakasha and vimarsha

Devi is worshiped in her bauthika state when she is considered as the subtle qualities of the elements.  

The nityas are modifications of Lalitha with the three gunas and five elements.  Hence, there are 15 nityas.  The full circle of nityas correspond to the15 phases of the waxing moon and to 21600 breaths in a day and night.  Thus they are the Kalachara or wheel of time as well as thithi chakra.  Hence, they are associated with time and space. The sixteenth kala is the sadakhya which is one with Lalitha.  Each nitya has specific number of arms (rays) and the total is 108. 

Nityas are the vowels of the Sanskrit alphabet. The number of tattva (36) multiplied by 16 nityas give the number of letters, 576.  Multiples of this number give the number of years in each eon.  Thus the circle of matrika and nitya are identical with zodiac as well as mantra.

The nityas are also identified with different stages of consciousness, with Lalitha being the continuum of consciousness and the 17^th kala beyond all these, being the Absolute.

பஞ்ச தசாக்ஷர ரூப நித்யா சைஷா ஹி பௌதிக அபிமதா:

நித்ய: சப்தாதி குண ப்ரபேத பின்னாஸ்த ஸ்தானயா வ்யாப்தா:

நித்யாஸ்தித்ய ஆகாரஸ்தித யஸ்ச சிவசக்தி சமரச ஆகார:

திவசமிஷாமயாஸ்தா: ஸ்ரீ வர்ணாஸ்தேபி தத்வயீ ரூப:

சப்தம் ஸ்பர்சம், ரசம் ரூபம் கந்தம் ஆகியவை பூதங்களின் சூட்சுமங்கள்.  அவற்றில் ஒன்று மற்றொன்றுக்குத் தோற்றுவாயாக உள்ளது.  இவ்வாறு அவை மொத்தம் பதினைந்து குணங்களைக் கொண்டவையாக உள்ளன,

நித்யாக்கள் எனப்படும் பதினைந்து தேவதைகள் இந்த குணங்களைக் குறிக்கின்றனர்.  அவர்கள் சிவசக்திகளின் சமரசத்தால் தோன்றியவர்கள்.  நித்யாக்கள் பதினைந்து எழுத்துக்களைக் கொண்ட ஸ்ரீமந்திரமாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

விளக்கவுரை:

பதினைந்து நித்யாக்கள் சந்திரனின் பதினைந்து திதிக்களாக உள்ளனர்.  இந்த திதிகள் இரவும் பகலும் சேர்ந்தவையாக அவ்வாறு பிரகாச விமர்சங்களைக் கொண்டவையாக உள்ளனர். அவர்கள் லலிதாம்பிகையின் பதினைந்து அம்சங்கள். முக்குணங்களான சத்துவம் ரஜஸ் தமஸ் மற்றும் ஐம்பூதங்கள் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிப்பவர்களாக அவர்கள் பதினைந்து என்ற எண்ணிக்கையில் உள்ளனர்.  பதினாறாவதாக இருப்பது லலிதா, அவளே இந்த பதினைந்து நித்தியாக்களை உள்ளடக்கியவள்.  பதினேழாவது கலையாக இருப்பது உச்ச இறைமை.  நித்யாக்கள் பிரகாச விமர்சங்களைக் குறிப்பவர்களாக, இரவும் பகலும் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக உள்ளனர்.  அவ்வாறு அவர்கள் காலத்தைக் குறிப்பவர்களாக காலச் சக்கரமாக உள்ளனர். 

நித்யாக்கள் சிவசக்தி ஐக்கியத்தின் உருவுகள்.  அவர்கள் ஸ்ரீ மந்திரமான பஞ்சதசாக்ஷரிமந்திரத்தைக் குறிக்கின்றனர்.   நித்யாக்கள் மூவித உணர்வு நிலைகளாக விழிப்பு, கனவு, ஆழுறக்கம் என்ற மூன்றாக இருக்கின்றனர்.  லலிதா, நான்காவது நிலையான துரியமாக இருக்கிறாள்.

நித்யாக்கள் ஒருவர் ஒரு நாளில் (பகல் இரவு இரண்டும் சேர்ந்து) விடும் சுவாசங்களாக 21600 ஐக் குறிக்கின்றனர்.  அவர்கள் சம்ஸ்கிருத உயிரெழுத்துக்களான பதினாறைக் குறிக்கின்றனர்.  முப்பத்தாறு தத்துவங்கள் பதினாறு நித்யாக்களுடன் சேர்ந்தால் மொத்தம் 576 என்ற எண் வருகிறது.  இந்த எண்ணின் பெருக்குக்கள் ஒரு யுகத்தின் நாட்களைக் குறிக்கின்றன.  இவ்வாறு நித்யாக்கள் காலம், இடம், உணர்வு, மந்திரம் என்பவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். 

ஒவ்வொரு நித்தியாவும் குறிப்பட்ட எண்ணிக்கைகளின் கைகள் அல்லது கதிர்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்.  இவ்வாறு அவர்கள் மொத்தம் 108 எண்ணிக்கையில் கதிர்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்.
