11. Mantra and Devata are inseparable

Verse 11

Bindudvitayam yadvad bhedaviheenam parasparam tadvat

Vidyaa devatayo: api na bhedalesosti vedyavedakaya:

“Just as how the two bindus are indistinguishable and inseparable the vidya, the indicator (vedaka) and Devata, the indicated (vedya) are also indistinguishable and inseparable.”

The two bindus are white and red, prakasha and vimarsha, Siva and Sakti.  Vidya means Mantra, the knowledge about Devata the object.  The mantra referred to here is the 15 lettered pancha dasakshari.  The devata is Mahatripurasundari.  Thus the mantra and the devata are indistinguishable.

பிந்து த்விதயம் யத்வத் பேத விஹீனம் பரஸ்பரம் தத்வத்

வித்யா தேவதையோ: அபி ந பேதலேசோஸ்தி வேத்ய வேதகய:

“எவ்வாறு இரு பிந்துக்களும் வேறுபாடற்று பிரிக்க முடியாதவையாக இருக்கின்றனவோ அதே போல் வித்யா அல்லது அறிவும், வேதகா அல்லது அதனால் சுட்டிக்காட்டப்படும் தேவதையும் ஒன்றாக பிரிக்க முடியாதவையாக இருக்கின்றன.”

இரு பிந்துக்கள் வெள்ளை (சிவா, பிரகாசம்), சிவப்பு (சக்தி, விமர்சம்).  வித்யா என்று இங்கு குறிப்பிடப்படுவது பதினைந்து எழுத்து பஞ்ச தசாக்ஷரி மந்திரம்.  வேதகா என்பது மகாதிரிபுரசுந்தரி. இவ்வாறு தேவதையும் அதன் மந்திரமும் ஒன்றாக பிரிக்க முடியாதனவாக இருக்கின்றன.
