54. Thus emerged kamakala vilasam

Verse 54

Uditha: punyaanandhaditi kaamakalaanganaa vilaasoyam

Parasiva bhujangabhaavaakarshana harsaaya kalpate nityam

“This is the end of the description by Punyananda of the playful movement of the beautiful woman kama-kala which ever attracts the desire of the amorous Parasiva.”

Commentary:

Iti means thus. Punyananda indicates that this is the concluding part of the work. Kamakala is the vimarsa sakthi. She is the beautiful woman whose amorous movements appear as the form of the chakra, the aavarana devata and other aspects. These movements are caused by seeing her beloved, Parasiva. These movements attract his chittham always and produce in him an excess of desire.

Another interpretation- this book is kamakala vilasam and it brings gladness to Para siva. Kamakala- sakthi, book, vilasam- movement, name of the book

உதித: புண்யானந்தாதிதி காமகலாங்கனா விலாசோயம்

பரசிவ புஜங்கபாவாகர்ஷண ஹர்ஸாய கல்பதே நித்யம்

“அழகான அந்த பெண்ணான, காமம் மிகுந்த பரசிவனின் ஆசையைத் தூண்டும், காமகலாவின் விளையாட்டான செயல்பாட்டை விவரிக்கும் புண்யானந்தரின் விளக்கம் இவ்வாறு முடிவுறுகிறது.”

விளக்கவுரை:

இதி என்றால் இவ்வாறு என்று பொருள். இந்த நூல் இத்துடன் முடிவுறுகிறது என்று புண்யானந்தர் இவ்வாறு குறிக்கிறார். காமகலா என்பது விமர்ச சக்தி. அவள் அழகான பெண். அவளது ஆசையைத் தூண்டும் அசைவுகள் சக்கரமாகவும் ஆவரண தேவதைகளாகவும் பிற அம்சங்களாகவும் விரிகின்றன.

இந்த அசைவுகள் அவள் தனது காதலனான பரசிவனைப் பார்ப்பதால் ஏற்படுகின்றன. இந்த அசைவுகள் அவரது சித்தத்தைக் கவர்ந்து அவருள் அதீத ஆசையை/காமத்தைத் தோற்றுவிக்கின்றன
