51. Adiguru was Siva who taught this vidya to his Sakti, during krita yuga

Verse 51

Aaseena: shree peete krutayugakaale guru: shivo vidyaam

Tasyai dadau svasakhtyai kameshvaryai vimarsha roopininyai

“Siva the guru who abides in the Uddiyaana pitha did in the Krita yuga imparted the Vidya to Her, his own Sakti, the vimarsha roopini, Kameshwari.”

Commentary:

Gu means darkness and ru means dispelling it.  Thus guru dispels the darkness.

Uddiyanapitha- Siva is at the Uddiyana pita within the innermost triangle.

Krita yuga- Siva imparted the knowledge of the Vidya to Sakti during this time. Vidya is the means by which man realizes his oneness with his soul.

ஆஸீன: ஸ்ரீபீடே க்ருத யுககாலே குரு: சிவோ வித்யாம்

தஸ்யை ததது ஸ்வசக்த்யை காமேச்வர்யை விமர்ச ரூபிணின்யை

“ஸ்ரீ பீடத்தில் (உட்டியாண பீடத்தில்) உறையும் சிவகுரு க்ருதயுகத்தில் இந்த வித்யையை தனது சக்திக்கு, விமர்ச ரூபிணிக்கு, காமேச்வரிக்கு, உபதேசித்தார்.”

விளக்கவுரை:

கு என்றால் இருட்டு, ரு என்றால் விலக்குவது.  இவ்வாறு குரு என்பவர் அஞ்ஞானம் என்ற இருட்டை விலக்குபவராகிறார்.  உட்டியாண பீடம் மத்தியில் முக்கோணம்.

க்ருத யுகத்தில் சிவன் இந்த வித்யையைசக்திக்கு உபதேசித்தார். இதன் மூலம் மனிதன் தனது ஆன்ம நிலையை உணருகிறான்.
